What is BITSAT 2022?
The Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) 2022 is an entrance exam administered by the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, for admission to undergraduate engineering courses (BE) at its three campuses in Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad. After passing the admission test, candidates will be offered admission to the BE, BPharm, and MSc programmes. Every year, approximately 3 lakh students apply for this entrance exam, which is conducted online.
The exam will be given online, which means it will be done on a computer. Candidates are advised to visit the official website of BITS for the most up-to-date information on exam patterns and syllabus.
BITSAT 2022 Notification
The application notification for BITSAT 2022, as well as the exam date, will be released very soon. The BITSAT 2022 application form window is expected to open in the last week of January, with the exam date scheduled for May.

BITSAT 2022 Application Form
Candidates who intend to apply for the BITS admission test should first review the BITSAT Application Process. Candidates must first register, and only then will they be able to fill out the BITSAT 2022 application form.
Registration is the first step.
> Candidates must first access the BITSAT admission portal.
> Locate the registration link, and then begin filling out the registration form with the necessary information.
> Candidates must enter information such as their name, gender, email address, contact number, date of birth, and so on.
At the time of registration, the following documents are required:
> Birth certificate / Class 10th mark sheet of the candidate
> 12th-grade mark sheet or equivalent certificate (For those candidates only who have given BITSAT 2019 or before).
> Scanned copies of candidates’ recent passport-size photographs and signatures.
> A photograph’s file format should be.jpg/.jpeg, and the file size should be between (4- 50) KB.
> A signature should be in.jpg/.jpeg format, with a file size of between (1-30) KB.
Step 2: The Application Procedure
> Read all of the guidelines/instructions provided by the authority before clicking on the link “Allow me to apply online.”
> Begin filling out the BITSAT online application form now.
> After entering their information, candidates must upload images of the required documents in the exact format specified in the official brochure.
> Following the completion and acceptance of the application process, candidates must pay the BITSAT application fee.
Note: After completing the above steps, your BITSAT 2022 application form will be accepted. Following that, an application number will be generated automatically. Candidates are instructed to save this information for future reference. After submitting the application form, the application correction window will appear, allowing you to make changes to pre-filled information.

BITSAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria
For admission to any of BITS’ First Degree programmes other than BPharm (Hons):
Aspirants must have passed the class 12th examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognised Central or State board or its equivalent. Candidates must have a good command of the English language. Aspirants must have earned a minimum of 75 percent in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, with at least 60 percent in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects.
For admission to the BPharm (Hons) programme:
Aspirants must have completed the class 12th examination from a recognised Central or State board or its equivalent in the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Candidates must have a good command of the English language. Candidates with PCMB in Class 12 can, however, apply to the Pharmacy programme at BITS campuses. Aspirants must have obtained a minimum of 75 percent aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (and Maths, if PCMB students) subjects, with at least 60 percent marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (and Maths, if PCMB students) subjects.
Additional Eligibility Criteria to keep in mind:
Only students who are taking or have passed the Class 12 examination in 2022 are eligible to take the BITSAT 2022. Students who passed their Class 12 exam in 2019 or earlier are ineligible to take BITSAT 2022. If a candidate has taken more than one attempt in the 12th class or its equivalent, only his/her most recent performance will be considered, provided that this attempt covered the entire set of subjects/courses.
Students who are currently enrolled at any of the BITS campuses are ineligible to take BITSAT 2022. Admissions will be made solely based on merit. The candidate’s merit position for admission is determined by the candidate’s BITSAT 2022 score. However, their admission is conditional on meeting the above-mentioned minimum mark requirement in the Class 12 board exam.
BITSAT 2022 Syllabus
The BITSAT syllabus is nearly identical to the NCERT syllabus for classes 11 and 12. The exam will contain questions based on various concepts in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics, Logical Reasoning, and English Proficiency. Some of the topics covered by all subjects will be as follows:
- Physics: Topics under Physics will be as units & measurement, rotational motion, mechanics of solid, Heat & thermodynamics, rotational motion, etc.
- Chemistry: Various topics will be atomic structure, states of matter, physical & chemical equilibrium, s & p-block elements, principles of organic chemistry, hydrocarbons, and much more.
- Mathematics: Some of the topics will be algebra, trigonometry, three-dimensional geometry, differential calculus, linear programming, etc.
- English Proficiency: Vocabulary, Grammar, Reading Comprehension, Analogy, and Composition.
- Logical Reasoning: Verbal reasoning- Analogy, Classification, reading passage, and many others. Non-verbal reasoning- Figure Matrix, paper cutting, rule detection, and many other topics.
BITSAT 2022 Slot Booking
BITSAT slot booking is a required procedure for all candidates who wish to take the exam. The exam slots will be booked by the authorities from May 28 to June 1 (Session I) and July 11 to 16 (Session II) (Session II). Students will be able to reserve a date, time, and slot for the BITSAT 2022 entrance exam through slot booking. Candidates must log in to the official website using their BITSAT Application Number, Gender, Date of Birth, and Email ID to book a slot. Students will be able to download their admit cards only after they have reserved a time slot for the exam.
BITSAT 2022 Admit Card
On June 4 (Session I) and July 18 (Session II), BITS Pilani will release the BITSAT 2022 admit card on the official website (Session II). Only after reserving a slot for the exam can the hall ticket be downloaded. The BITSAT hall ticket 2022 is a critical document because without it, candidates will be unable to take the exam.
BITSAT 2022 Result
The exam conducting authority will announce the BITSAT 2022 result online on the official website of BITS admissions. The BITSAT result will be announced in two stages by the institute. To begin, candidates will receive their scores immediately after the exam, which will show the number of correct answers, incorrect answers, and total marks obtained in BITSAT 2022.
Second, the BITS Pilani will announce the BITSAT result 2022 in iterations, which will include the waitlist and admit list. Only qualified candidates with the required minimum score will be able to participate in the BITSAT 2022 Counselling. The merit position of eligible candidates will be determined based on their BITSAT 2022 scores.
BITSAT Cutoff
The BITSAT cutoffs are the minimum marks required for a candidate to participate in the counselling process. The cutoff scores differ from one year to the next. Candidates who took the exam last year can use the table below to see the branch-wise BITSAT cutoffs for its three campuses.

BITSAT 2022 Counselling
Counseling for BITSAT 2022 will take the form of iterations. Following each round, the institute will publish an admission list and a waitlist. Six or more rounds of BITSAT counselling in the form of iterations are expected to begin in July of next year.
All students who have received the first rank in their respective State/Central board exams, regardless of their BITSAT 2022 Score, will be given direct admission. BITSAT 2022 has no reservations. Candidates can look up the average scores required for admission to the various courses offered by the various BITS Pilani campuses.
