International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO)
The olympiad’s 17th edition is IJSO 2022. Last year, 70 nations took part in the IJSO, which lasted a total of 10 days. For the event, each country has a standard team of six students and three leaders. If a standard team cannot be formed, a minimum of three students and one leader may participate in IJSO. Participation by individuals is not permitted. The IJSO 2022 schedule will be posted here as soon as it is available.
What is IJSO 2022
The International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) is one of the International Science Olympiads and the only international academic competition that simultaneously covers physics, chemistry, and biology. In 2004, the first IJSO was held in Jakarta, Indonesia. Approximately 70 countries send delegations of three to six students, as well as one to three team leaders and observers.
The International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) is a natural science solo and team competition for students under the age of 15. Germany has been selected as the host country. IJSO allows students to express their basic scientific ideas and is not limited to Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Exam events include multiple-choice questions (MCQs), theory tests, and lab tests, which are held on consecutive days with at least one day between each test. There are two ceremonies: one at the start (the opening ceremony) and one at the end (the closing ceremony). The final results of the test are announced at the closing ceremony.
